New Life Education Trust
E.B. meeting Held on 22.05.2005
At Matrubhaban, Cuttack.
The meeting started at 11.00AM at Matrubhaban Cuttack
with 2mts silent prayer. Sri Sriballav Panigrahi, President presided.
The secretary welcomed the participant members and read out
the proceedings of the last E.B. meeting of the trust held at
Sambalpur on 20.3.2005 which was approved. The following
resolutions were made in the meeting.
1. The accounts of the New Life Education Trust could not be
finalised owing to certain unavoidable reasons and it was
decided that the up to date account shall be presented in
the next meeting of the Executive Body.
2. It was decided that Sanskrit should not only be made
compulsory for each child of our education centres, it should
also be given maximum importance. A workshop of sanskrit
teachers shall be organised during any vacation either Puja
or X-mas the Sanskrit teachers of all Integral schools shall
be intimated to attend.
3. Certain cases of outside agencies selling the trust text books
were raised for discussion. It was decided that only Integral
schools can purchase the text books from New Life
Education Trust and sell them to the students. No
intermediary shall however be allowed.
4. It was decided that the new Integral schools will apply to
New Life Education Trust for its affiliation through the district
convener and the New Life Education Trust will request the
district convener with another New Life Education Trust
member for a joint inspection before affiliation.
5. The DI/CI would be requested not to recognise the
unaffiliated Sri Aurobindo Integral Education Centres. A letter
should be sent to all DI/CI immediately.
6. As per the decision taken in the last meeting of the Executive
Body, a list of all members of the New Life Education Trust
is attached herewith for information of each member.
7. Discussion was made regarding getting help from Govt to
prepare the infrastructure of the school wherever possible.
But in any case the ideal of Integral Education should not
be compromised.
8. The President proposed to prepare a comprehensive report
to be presented to the Education minister and Education
Secretary during June’2005.
9. Certain cases of not accepting the certificates of
Sri Aurobindo Integral Education Centres by other Sri
Aurobindo Integral Education Centres even after
countersignature of the Secretary was raised. It was decided
that all certificates of any S.A.I.E.C must be honoured by all
S.A.I.E.C of the state.
10. It was decided to request Sri Bichitrananda Paikray of
Paikakusadiha in the district of Khordha to assist Sri Arabinda
Mohapatra in re-writing the Oriya book of Std I in different
languages of Orissa.
11. Sri Sarat Ch. Ghose of Raghunathpur, Soro proposed to
request the DPI to send proposals to the education Dept. to
sanction the pending SFA of the last financial year in the
supplementary budget.
12. A resource committee was constituted with the following
members.
1. Anjali Tripathy - Gopinathpur - Convener
2. Pabitra Mohan Baral - Cuttack
3. Nirupama Chainy - Ganailo
4. Sanjay Kr. Mohapatra - Kalupadaghat
5. Rabi Padhi - Khandagiri
6. Binod Devata - Dera
7. Pratap Mati - Khandagiri
This committee will be responsible for reviwing and revising
the text books. It was decided that T.A for the members to
attend the meeting will be paid by the Trust.
13. After a proposal raised by different members of the New
Life Education Trust regarding training of Managing
Committee members of the Sri Aurobindo Integral Education
Centres, it was decided that the MC members would be
requested to attend the 1st part of the refresher training
camp meant for the teachers which is held during summer
vacation every year.
14. Sri Braja Mohan Behera of Dharamgad has applied to work
as trust Co-ordinater. His application was considered and
he was selected to work as the co-ordinater of New Life
Education Trust with immediate effect. Secretary was
requested to re-distribute the area of operation among 5
trust co-ordinaters. Since the work in trust office at BBSR
are increasing and contact with DPI/Education Dept shall
be frequent it was decided that Ramakanta Sahu shall be
allotted with less no of districts to cover and will be mostly
available in the office of New Life Education Trust.
15. It was discussed and decided to conduct a first-aid training
for the teachers of Sri Aurobindo Integral Education Centre.
Sri Aurobindo Medical Association of Orissa will be requested
to conduct the training. Training period will be for 3 to 4 days
dairy last week of December.
16. Secretary reported about the new arrangement and
programme for Refresher Training Progamme conducted
recently. It was learnt that 217 teachers from 107 Sri
Aurobindo Integral Education Centres have participated in
the training. The members present were extremely worried
for the less no of participants. It was therefore decided that
teachers from every S.A.I.E.C. will be advised to attend the
Refresher Training Progamme from next year.
17. Two new zones have been formed during the last April
Conference e.g.Shanti and Samata. The co-ordinators Sri
Lalit Mohan Khuntia and Dr. Debidutta Kar were taken in
the list of members of the Trust. Since Sri Khuntia was
district representative of Bolangir district, Sri Basant Kr.
Meher was selected as the member of New Life Education
Trust from Bolangir district.
18. After long discussion it was decided that the participating
teachers of refresher training camp of each Integral Education
Centres shall be issued with an individual letter mentioning
his/her participation in the Camp. No separate certificate or
common letter will be issued. The copies of the individual
letter will be sent to the concerned schools for their record.
19. Affiliation of new schools could not be taken up due to
shortage of time and deferred to the next meeting.
20. The next meeting of the Executive Body was decided to be
held on 31.07.2005 at Matrubhaban, Cuttack.
The meeting ended with 2 mts. silent prayer and thanks to the chair.
