Relief from productive subjectivity

 Collated by Tusar Nath Mohapatra

Mahadevi Verma is one of the pillars of modern Hindi literature. Her work is known for its Saṃskṛita-niṣṭha Hindi, and metaphors that carry the graceful beauty of the folk traditions of our land.

Deeply in touch with the Hindu way of life, Mahadevi Verma’s writings evolve out a sacred, dhārmika core that was instilled in her by her mother.

In Kitni Karuna Kitne Sandesh: Episode 6, Season 2 of Svarnanjali, @PankajSaxena84 and @TiwariNivedita pay a tribute to a writer, who, through her works and her conduct, set a high standard for the literary community of our times.

No one is going back to utopia that supposedly existed 3000 years back. That's a fact but everyone's entitled to his or her share of delusions.

My column in @ttindia on how researchers in our best institutes are asked to tailor their work to the greater glory of Hindus, Hindutva, and Narendra Modi. What effect will this have on the practice of science and the morale of scientists in India?

It's not about wages, days off, pensions, security of labour - maybe the only thing worth saying today is a cry for relief from productive subjectivity. Go do something today that has little or no value.

The seasonal worship of Raja Ram Mohan Roy has started again. Here’s my old thread on his self-stated  goal of converting India into a Christian nation. All from his own official statement to the British government begging them to send permanent European settlers to occupy India.

WHO IS TO BLAME FOR MUMBAI INDIANS FAILURE? Why TV commentators will not tell you the truth.

When your favorite 5 time-champion home-team collapses like nine pins to be the first team to be knocked out of IPL 2024, it is natural to ask: So, what went wrong? No, it has nothing to do with Hardik Pandya.
