Matru Nivas, Sambalpur

SUMMERY OF THE EXECUTIVE BODY MEETING OF
NEW LIFE EDUCATION TRUST HELD AT MATRU NIVAS,
SAMBALPUR ON 20.03.05.
1. The meeting started with two minutes Silent prayer with Mother’s
music. Sri Sriballav Panigrahi, President presided over the
meeting.
2. The members present stood up in silence and prayed for two
minutes for late Sri Panchanana Mohanty, the ex-Secretary of
NLET.
3. Dr. Babul Pattanaik, Secy. SAIE & Research Center, Sambalpur
welcomed the participants.
4. The President Sri Panigrahi requested the members to give
self-introduction and accordingly all the members present gave
their self-introduction.
5. Then the proceeding of the last E.B. meeting held at Matrubihar,
Khandagiri on 16.01.05 was read out by the secretary and
approved with the following observations:
a. Sri Aparti Ch. Das & Sri Saroj Kr. Pattanaik were requested
to look after the accounts of the Trust. It was decided that
the compliance report of the audit objections will be placed
in the next E.B. meeting and the present practice of
maintenance of accounts will continue.
c. The President requested to update the accounts of the Trust
by 30.04.05.
e. Regarding the text book it was decided that the schools
may collect the old books at 40% discount and the new
books at the usual 10% discount. The Secretary and
Principals of all Sri Aurobindo Integral Education Centers
were requested to see that the old and new text books are
not introduced together in the same class.
f. It was decided to prepare a proforma for the district
committee to record the data of the new schools.
g. It was decided to request the Director of Elementary
Education or DI of schools not to recognize any of Sri
Aurobindo Integral Education Centers without the affiliation
of NLET.
h. It was decided to prepare a list of total members of NLET
and circulate amongst all schools.
i. All members and teachers of the Integral education centers
were requested to attend the July Organization meeting of
their District.
j. It was decided that all T.A claims of the office bearers/Trust
co-ordinators on Trust work can only be sanctioned by the
Secretary of the Trust, whereas the T.A. claim of the
Secretary will be sanctioned by the President.
k. Even if the accounts of the schools are to be audited by
qualified auditors, it was decided that each school will get
their accounts audited internally.
l. Regarding sale of books to the depot at Raghunathpur,
Koraput and Sohela it was decided that they will collect the
books from Sri Aurobindo Ashram Store, Matrubhaban,
Cuttack under the supervision of NLET.
m. The President assured the members to take some positive
steps in getting the Integral schools declared as special
schools.
o. Sri Suramani Khamari of Padarpada (Boudh) was selected
as a member of the Trust against Sri Madan Mohan Dani,
who was already selected from Sonepur.
p. It was decided that the meeting of the advisory board along
with the E.B. shall be called once in a year.
q. It was decided that each Integral School should organise
mother’s meeting every year in each class.
r. Sri Sarat Ch. Ghosh proposed that a whole year programme
of the Trust along with the annual budget may be prepared.
s. The Secretary of Sri Aurobindo’s School, Purunapani
(Sundargarh) placed some problem of their school. Sri
Sudhanshu Pal and Sri Saroj Patnaik were requested to
take up the matter and place their report in the next meeting.
Then the agenda items were taken up for discussion:
1. Text books: The Secretary expressed that almost all books of
Standard I to V and English for Standard VI will be available in
the Ist week of April and Math. & Oriya for Std. VI will be
available during summer vacation.
2. S.F.A: The Secretary reported that the SFA in respect of 7
Integral School under non-plan scheme have been released
along with the arrears. But as regards the Integral Schools
under plan scheme, only 1/3rd of the amount have been released.
3. Sri Sarat Ghosh of Raghunathpur, Soro presented a proposal
called ‘Sujaladhara’, by which any institution can get help from
Govt. to create drinking water facilities in each school. The
managment of Integral Education Centres are requested to
enquire from the local Distric Administration in this regard.
