Im not even a Chomsky hater but there is something poetic and worth mentioning about the fact that major Sokal/anti "postmodern" figures like Dawkins and Chomsky have with time lost all their credibility while continental thought is thriving
Rare bold statement by a judge, albeit retiring, a
Did Supreme Court mention yesterday, when the dismissed petitions against Jallikattu, that Jallikattu was Tamil Festival?
Jallikattu is a practice amongst Hindus for ages, How did it become a linguistic festival?
Paving way for many linguistic appropriation in future.

want to know ಯಾವ ಪದ್ಯ ಇದು? Bendre (and the whole family) was an ardent devotee of SriMata (The Mother) of Aurobindo Ashram. He wrote many poems in her praise. Of course, his love for his mother was also very beautifully expressed in several poems, and in his pen name too :).
This man has done more to help with avoidable blindness, import of latest inventions and to the field of ophthalmology in general than entire state governments. Aurobindo played a big part in his life. Some photos I got from their gallery room there CC:
Apart from being an activist, Bipin Pal was also a great writer too, he wrote extensively on Bengal’s rich Vaishnava heritage. He also wrote a series of biographies on Raja Ram Mohan Roy, Keshab Chandra Sen, Aurobindo, Tagore,Annie Beasant.
In 1906, he started the daily Vande Matram, and the editor was Aurobindo Ghosh, whom he described as a stormy petrel. He advocated boycott of English goods, total severance with the British Raj, and national Government during his tour of India in 1907.
13. Nobody seems to remember that this is the same mafia which had denounced in 1948 Sri Ramakrishna as a homosexual pervert, Swami Vivekananda as a Hindu imperialist, Sri Aurobindo as a dirty war-monger,

I feel sorry for those who understand #SriAurobindo but don’t comment on the tweet about His poetry and other writings ! We should spread the words of the Master and the Mother . Remember the story of Amal Da who was introduced to the Lord from a wrapper used to pack his shoes by…
I continue to be surprised that ANYONE at all survived Mordor’s ‘cleansing’ operations. India’s Aurobindo dreamt of an emergent Asia; to the world’s view. I did not consider North and West Asia when reading his words in the 90’s. The original horse cultures of the planet!
J Sai Deepak - You are worried about hurting sentiments | India, Bharat ... youtu.be/v_yYLPjEElM #ChakshuLajja TIL coined by Sri Aurobindo for the type of extreme political correctness gone amuck that’s become suicidal for whole nations. Something America should learn from.
As hate and toxicity swirl in our midst, with so much of this poison just a clickbait video or WhatsApp forward away, one realises how careful, really careful, we need to be with our own kids.
Today is Girish Karnad’s birth anniversary.
Read an excerpt from Karnad’s memoir, in which he remembers his mother's unconventional remarriage, and how her autobiography helped him and his siblings come to terms with many childhood anxieties.

Beware of those who tell you that "tribalism" is bad -- they probably want to ruin you & your people. However, on the other hand, also be careful when setting your tribal radius.

Hinduism is wide and complex and hasn't seen much debate or reforms. If things are being subjected to rational/legal scrutiny, then it's a matter of satisfaction. Further, if other religions get more of the Court's time, then accusations of partiality or appeasement might precipitate.
But how to read the tweets of those who block and choose to remain wrapped? Mute is a civilised option.
Official handles of Auroville don't have any obligation to respond to scores of tweets exposing corruption and misappropriation of funds. They are quoting the words of The Mother Sri Aurobindo, instead. Either the culprits should be punished or action taken against those alleging.
The Mother & Sri Aurobindo were aware of the difficulties of collective living but assured that aspiring for spiritual progress and higher consciousness, instead of the ordinary egoistic living, would obviate the thwarts. As such a stage has not been reached reforms are necessary.
Professionally, not personally!
The word is superfluous and implies needless bragging.
No disputing that. But a touch of humility involving nostalgia on such occasions would sound better. Like, I remember having attended...
Thanks.

Rightsizing is the panacea. Granting Sovereignty to the States on linguistic basis is the perfect solution.
Once upon a time there were PUCL, PUDR, and Common Cause. Rajani, Surabhi, and Tulsi too had their hey days. Spic-macay, Sahmat, Sabrang survive. But where is something that has grown and grown and excelled? Not even a safe digital platform for audio and video, dedicated to India.

Tch, "a reaction of disatifaction" turns sympathetic approval in the north.
I, generally, take the position that whatever has happened has happened for the good, for it was needed for the right evolutionary journey. The society is getting transformed very fast due to technology and clinging to any past cultural paradigm is neither possible nor desirable.
In its zeal to replace Gandhi with Savarkar, the Hindutva bandwagon is going to commit many stupidities. Therefore, Sri Aurobindo's reception is going to rise but the only hurdle is the absence of frontline communicators. Savitri Era Learning Forum (SELF) is contributing its mite.
