India is at the crossroads. No respect for knowledge; it's fashionable and prestigious to push planted narratives. Decibels are more credible than crucibles of truth. Entire corpus of Sri Aurobindo should have been part of syllabus but Universities are yet to evince any interest.
No national level institution dedicated to Sri Aurobindo studies. As a result, ambivalence persists on his views on several crucial issues. Even a chair somewhere will be able to produce diverse papers to popularise his relevance and break resistance. But, no one with conviction.

On their own, can gene, protein or enzyme and so on found in a cell regulate anything? You can get the convincing answer for this question by putting those element on a Petri dish. Stone carving chisel and hammer (gene, protein or enzyme and so on) cannot do any regulative action by their own. It is the artificer (cell) which is responsible for all those controlled actions that we find in a cell.
The mindless accumulation of knowledge on genetics to gain some academic/financial benefits without considering the role of sentient nature of cell cannot help us in our attempt to understand life. Like genes, the electro-dynamic fields also on their own cannot achieve any useful functions. Electro-dynamic fields on their own cannot correct the errors during DNA replication. Sripad Puri Maharaja also highlighted that in modern science due to our over reliance on materialistic view of reality we do not see the Reality as an organic whole. Thus, we do not worry so much about the purpose of the thing that we observe.
A nose in the body (organic whole) does not exist without any purpose and similarly the Sun in the Solar System does not exist without a purpose. Like a nose in the body cannot be seen as a randomly protruding portion of the face in the process of embryological development, similar the Sun in Solar system also cannot be seen as a mere random event in the developing solar system.
Due their over reliance on physical sciences, scientists have only tried to understand the reality from the view point of determinism and when they seriously fail in that attempt, they come up with the argument that the world is full of random happenings. The artifacts of abstractions that we see in modern science in the form of different theories are nothing but a representation of serious distortion of true reality. This framework in modern science can only be seen as an essential step in the struggle for knowledge by an egocentric approach which inherently ignores the organic interconnectedness of whole reality. However, to advance beyond this impasse we have to adopt a more receptive atmosphere in science for an organic concept of reality where everything can be seen with respect to the purpose of the center of the organic whole and not in isolation. The potential that Burr found is a force related to the primal streak, the development of the notochord, then the neural tube then the CNS - and obviously this being the axis, it has to do with chakras etc. But it is not the only principle manifesting in the body - a more primal one is pulsation. My thesis includes this and I am working on a paper now which I hope will make some of these concepts and their functions clearer. The soul for me is not the body, but is expressing itself through a body. Self-realisation is about this.
