Nature is not symmetrical

Request our countrymen to please call out your male contemporaries when they spout nonsense about women and our bodies. India needs sane masculine voices to set the standard.

Look at the number of tweets. This pervert mythologist has been hurling sexist abuses at me since 6 months. I ignored it all along with a lot of patience.
Some worthless people in the comments telling me 'ignore him, Don't stop to his level". Where were all of you then?

Kindly report @/Devduttmyth for harassment. Also, tag and ask folks platforming him if his sick behaviour has their endorsement. How is such a person presented as an expert of our history, traditions and scriptures?

ANYONE praising, promoting, platforming, endorsing this sick person owes us all a clarification. Make sure you tag and ask folks platforming him if his sick behaviour has their endorsement. Golu = a term of derision used by trolls who follow @tiinexile for plump HINDU gods like Ganesha and Kubera, and plump Hindu males like Devdutt Pattanaik, Narendra Modi, and Amit Shah. Deep seated Hinduphobia rooted in Winston Churchill's Bengal Famine.

...Wrong. Iris of woman expands when looking at a child when compared to situation with men when they see a beautiful girl.
Women can do without sex. Therefore denial of sex by woman is terror and torture by female. Marriage is protection against accusation of rape. He or She should be free to walk away from a marriage m

.. ..  Civilizational unity is not identical to political unity - Example is Politically disunited Canada and USA coming together to crush Nazis, in defence of Western values.
Another example: Politically United USSR splitting inspite of strict political unity under KGB

Hindus themselves have been detached from Hinduism (thanks to Macaulay followed by Nehruvian Stalinism). So Babas are adjusting accordingly.
If Hindus want pure Hinduism then why do they want in English only and not from a Brahmin trained in tradition?

That’s basically also Santideva’s argument! Self-directed concern is already altruistic in a temporal sense and that can be generalized to spatial alterity. I didn’t know Zipporyn had also argued for it.

Two aims of my working week was to understand an essay on Sri Aurobindo I am reading and to make sense of some notes I have on psychology & psychoanalysis. Weird how they are linked in a way western philosophy & psychology are not.
Freud's unconscious is anathema to most western religious movements which mimic a hierarchical cosmology and, therefore, lend themselves to simplistic notions of command snd control.

A more fundamental question is whether more number of divorces are good or bad? Or even, whether religious or legal stipulation for marriages is good or bad? There can many layers of interrogation and yet not one can claim self-evident legitimacy or justification. Postmodernism!

@annavetticad Madam, Mohan Bhagwat probably did not explain himself clearly. Collectivism and Individualism are driven by opposing drivers. Poor people are collective and rich people are individualistic. Individualism fragments societies. You have a knowledge problem. Read books

Affluence breeds Independence and therefore individualism. Individualism affects numerous affairs between people including marriage, friendship etc.

Scholarship shouldn't be resented; persons shouldn't be despised. The content should be the focus. What's good must be appreciated; what's flawed or distorted, deliberately or otherwise, needs to be countered. With sufficient caution and due academic humility; by producing fresh.

India is at the crossroads. No respect for knowledge; it's fashionable and prestigious to push planted narratives. Decibels are more credible than crucibles of truth. Entire corpus of Sri Aurobindo should have been part of syllabus but Universities are yet to evince any interest.
No national level institution dedicated to Sri Aurobindo studies. As a result, ambivalence persists on his views on several crucial issues. Even a chair somewhere will be able to produce diverse papers to popularise his relevance and break resistance. But, no one with conviction.

A Mindful Inquiry into the Meaning of Individual Inspiration in a Period of Personal Challenge

On their own, can gene, protein or enzyme and so on found in a cell regulate anything? You can get the convincing answer for this question by putting those element on a Petri dish. Stone carving chisel and hammer (gene, protein or enzyme and so on) cannot do any regulative action by their own. It is the artificer (cell) which is responsible for all those controlled actions that we find in a cell.
The mindless accumulation of knowledge on genetics to gain some academic/financial benefits without considering the role of sentient nature of cell cannot help us in our attempt to understand life. All those studies which simply ignore the concept of self (or soul) are simply wild goose chasing. Thanking you. Sincerely,
Bhakti Niskama Shanta
Like genes, the electro-dynamic fields also on their own cannot achieve any useful functions. Electro-dynamic fields on their own cannot correct the errors during DNA replication. A sentient agent is necessary to use the electro-dynamic fields in a useful manner. That is the main point that we are discussing on this thread. Thanking you. Sincerely,
Bhakti Niskama Shanta

Sripad Puri Maharaja also highlighted that in modern science due to our over reliance on materialistic view of reality we do not see the Reality as an organic whole. Thus, we do not worry so much about the purpose of the thing that we observe.
A nose in the body (organic whole) does not exist without any purpose and similarly the Sun in the Solar System does not exist without a purpose. Like a nose in the body cannot be seen as a randomly protruding portion of the face in the process of embryological development, similar the Sun in Solar system also cannot be seen as a mere random event in the developing solar system.
Due their over reliance on physical sciences, scientists have only tried to understand the reality from the view point of determinism and when they seriously fail in that attempt, they come up with the argument that the world is full of random happenings. The artifacts of abstractions that we see in modern science in the form of different theories are nothing but a representation of serious distortion of true reality. This framework in modern science can only be seen as an essential step in the struggle for knowledge by an egocentric approach which inherently ignores the organic interconnectedness of whole reality. However, to advance beyond this impasse we have to adopt a more receptive atmosphere in science for an organic concept of reality where everything can be seen with respect to the purpose of the center of the organic whole and not in isolation.  Thanking you. Sincerely,
Bhakti Niskama Shanta

The potential that Burr found is a force related to the primal streak,  the development of the notochord, then the neural tube then the CNS - and obviously this being the axis, it has to do with chakras etc. But it is not the only principle manifesting in the body - a more primal one is pulsation. My thesis includes this and I am working on a paper now which I hope will make some of these concepts and their functions clearer. The soul for me is not the body, but is expressing itself through a body. Self-realisation is about this.

One leading example is Michael Behe, author of three books which strongly argue for intelligent design behind evolution, of which two (The Edge of Evolution and Darwin Devolves) strongly support common descent, even to the point of giving several arguments for it.  This makes Behe especially dangerous to the cause of atheistic materialism.
