New Life Education Trust would also create a Teachers’ Benefit Fund

Minutes of the Executive Body of the New Life Education Trust held on 18th May 2008 at Matrubhaban, Cuttack
The meeting started on 18th May 2008 at 10.30 AM with Sri Sriballav Panigrahi on Chair and two mins meditation. Then the deliberation were started with the action taken notes remarked by the Secretary.
1. The list of education centres where the students are still appearing at the common examination Std. VII is awaited from the co-ordinators. They were asked to submit immediately.
2. Rudra Bhai of Dhenkanal narrated the situation of Dhenkanal education centre and said that the Circle Inspector of schools has promised to take early action for formation of MC. In case the CI delays in the matter, the President proposed to meet the Education Minister. It was decided that the guardian members as suggested by the CI of Schools may be accepted. No reservation in the matter may be kept. It was further discussed that the Collector, Dhenkanal is unnecessarily interfering in the matter of Dhenkanal Sri Aurobindo Integral Education Centre in the name of law and order situation which is in violation to the Principles of Sri Aurobundo Integral Education Centre which has been prepared by New Life Education Trust for all Sri Aurobindo Integral Education Centres of Orissa and approved by the Govt. of Orissa. It was therefore decided to meet the higher authorities in the Education Dept. in case no solution could be made locally.
3. Sri Pabitra Mohan Baral read out the syllabus prepared for 3 months programme. It was learnt that only a few application have been received for the said training Programme. It was therefore decided that the 53 schools receiving SFA must sent one trainee each for the training out of which a batch of 25 teachers shall be selected for first batch. It was further decided to keep training as a condition for according affiliation. Since the preparatory measures for the 3 months training programme is taking time, it was decided to start the training from the month of August instead of July 2008.
4. Regarding the creation of a teacher’s benefit fund it was decided that besides each education centre to start a teacher’s benefit fund as per their facility and suitability, the New Life Education Trust would also create a Teachers’ Benefit Fund to help the teachers of different Integral education centres at their need. Sri Sarat Ch. Ghose of Raghunathpur (Soro) proposed to create a fund of Rs.50 lakhs and promised to donate Rupees one lakh to the fund. The Committee expressed gratitude to Sri Ghose and request all members throughout the state to donate generously to the fund. A sub committee was constituted with the following members to workout the plan and programme.
1. Secretary- convenor, 2. Treasurer, 3. Sri Sarat Ch. Ghose, 4. Saroj Patnaik, 5. Sri Sanjay Mohapatra, 6. Anjali Tripathy, 7. Ramakanta Sahoo.
5. Regarding Computerisation of Accounts, Sri Sankar Mohanty, Jt.Secretary com treasurer stated that the work has just been started.
It was decided that Sri Gadadhar Mishra Vice-President, Sri Prasad Tripathy Secretary and Sri Sankar Mohanty Jt.Secretary cum treasurer will try to prepare a software suitable for the accounts. The computers both at Cuttack office and Bhubaneswar office may be kept under lan to work together for Accounts.
It was decided that, if need be, a full time worker for Accounts matter may be engaged.
6. Sri Pabitra Mohan Baral stated that the Oriya syllabus has been made final. English Syllabus is on making for which the assistance of Sri Rabi Padhy, Bhubaneswar is awaited. Regarding the Syllabus of Math, Science and Social Studies, Sri Baral stated that these will be taken up subsequently.
7. Secretary presented some applications for granting concession in purchase of Text Books for Dalijoda, Chadheigudi, Kharidchhak and Udiyaman Matrukhetra. After detail discussion, it was decided that the concerned Trust co-ordinators will visit these schools and observe the economic conditions of the students to whom concession would be granted, after which they will be given concession for purchase of books.
8. It was decided to hold a meet of senior teachers of all Sri Aurobindo Integral Education Centres having experience more than 10 years on 23rd and 24th August 2008 at Matrubhaban, Cuttack.
9. It was decided to hold the Secretary-Principal Conference in the month of April 2009 in stead of Nov 2008.
10. Sri Gadadhar Mishra, Vice-President placed a proposal for a onetime help from Human Resource Dept. in the Govt. of India through some NGO. The proposal was discussed and a subcommittee consisting of Sri G. Mishra VP, Sri P. Tripathy Secy, Sri S. Mohanty Jt Secy. Sri Saroj Patnaik and Sri Sarat Ghose was constituted to work out the details.
11. The next All Orissa Sri Aurobindo Integral Education Centre workers (Teachers) meet will be held during 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th October 2008 at Matrubhaban, Cuttack.
12. The next Executive Body of New Life Education Trust will be held at Sri Aurobindo Integral Education Centre, Berhampur on 3rd August, 2008 at 10.00 am.
