Puducherry, Nov 20: The 'School for Perfect Eyesight' here, which attempts to cure visual disorders using simple exercises and mental relaxation, was witnessing a steady rise in the number of visitors from different parts of the country as well as from abroad. Not less than 3,000 people turn up every year seeking cure for their disorders as well as training in the simple exercises developed by the school, which was launched some 50 years ago by Sri Aurobindo Ashram, official sources told agencies.
Apart from people from different parts of the country, patients from middle east countries, Germany and Ireland reached here this year after coming to know about the school and the efficacy of its treatment method. The school believes that mental relaxation is the key to improvement of eyesight. Patients and visitors are given a week-long training in simple exercises and methods for mental relaxation, which can be practised later at their convenience. The treatment method was particularly beneficial for myopia, sources said. zeenews.com Bureau Report
